DECEMBER 2022
In December, 5th formers from Denfert-Rochereau middle school in Saint-Maixent met the artistic team of the CHx company, with whom they will work until March, and discovered the Éclaircies project. The project mixes art and science, bringing together artists and researchers as well as an audience of secondary school students and an adult audience. (Full story - in French)

JUNE 2022
The 2022 Festival of Music will take place throughout the town from 7pm on 21st June. The festival will feature traditional French and overseas music, jazz, country and rock music at sixteen venues throughout the town. (Music Festival Brochure - in French)

MAY 2022
Three highly anticipated Run! races will start in St Maixent L'École on 20th May. These sporting and fun races start with a 5km route followed by a party. Saturday morning sees a very popular 10km run, with stops to discover the history and heritage of the town. The final run is on Saturday afternoon when the finishers will be welcomed with music. NOVEMBER 2021
Mayor of St Maixent M. Stéphane Baudry layed a wreath on the grave of General Louis Eugène Faucher, saying that the General was a great man from St Maixent, a character in it's history and also in the history of France.The General (1874 - 1964) is honoured each year in the town. Accompanying M. Baudry were the General's son and members of the town council. (Full Story - in French)
